About Me

Hi,

I am Priya. While the site gives a whole picture about me, here is a quick overview:

I am from Irinijalakuda, Kerala famous for its rich history, cultural heritage and the temple festivals. Having spent more than 10 years in USA I currently resides in Pennsylvania with my husband and son.

Arts, Crafts and Photography have been my passion. I am into Tanjore and Decorative painting. One of my major achievements was to teach Tanjore painting to a Group of American students and the resulting painting were displayed in the Indian Consulate in New York during the Childrens day celebration.

Raj, my husband, walked into my life in 1992 belongs to Cochin, Kerala - an attractive city with serene back waters, lagoons and picturesque islands. Completely crazy about computer and all gadgets he spends most of his time in front of computers. Fully comfortable with Internet technology, this site is his gift to me. Currently he is an independent consultant with his company Advica Consulting.

Rohit, who is in 10th grade is my pride and joy. He is following his dad's footstep and is passionate about computers and technology. Sharing his happiness and secrets, watching him grow feel like time is flying too quickly. Mature for his age, he seems to have the patience of my dad and the outlook of an adult.

Linda Burton in, What's a smart Woman Like You Doing At Home ? observed, "I do not believe that anyone can teach us more about who we really are than our children. They expose our pretensions and our limits with glaring clarity, because they so relentlessly push us right up against them. And at the same time, our children challenge and expand our strengths by expecting ( indeed, demanding) that we are better, stronger, kinder, smarter, more patient than we are."

Burton also shares,  "When we chose to become mothers, we chose to feel incompetent much of the time.  For motherhood is a journey without a roadmap, a work that cannot be measured by normal standards of success. Rather, it is a work based on mutual love and a strong desire to keep trying where the process of picking yourself up every time you  falter is necessary."
